Ponyboy Curtis-
Pony's 14 and lives with his two older brothers, Sodapop and Darry Curtis. His parents were killed in a car crash before the story takes place. He loves to read and watch movies. . . . . Sodapop Curtis- Soda's the middle Curtis boy. He's always the life of the party, and seems to get drunk just off of living. He dropped out of high school and works at a gas station with his best friend, Steve Randle. . . Darrel "Darry" Curtis- Darry's 22, the oldest of the three Curtis boys. He roofs houses to support him and the two younger boys. The gang's nicknamed him 'Superman" for his strength. . . . . . . Keith "Two-bit" Mathews- Two-bit's known for his ability shoplift. His prized possession is a black handled switch blade he swiped from a hardware store. He often fights, but not without the help of a little booze. In the movie he's portrayed to like Mickey Mouse, as he's always wearing a shirt with him on it and he was watching the show with Steve. . . . Steve Randle- Steve has been Soda's best friend since grade school and work with him at the gas station. He knows pretty much everything about cars and often steals hubcaps. He doesn't see Ponyboy as anything more than an annoying kid brother who follows Soda everywhere. . . . Dallas "Dally" Winston- Dally's the toughest of the gang. He doesn't use any grease in his hair like his friends. He is known to be more dangerous than the others, because he is more violent. But under all that macho, he cares a lot about Johnny. . . Johnny Cade- Johnny's 16, although he looks younger than Pony. He grew up with alcoholic and abusive parents. He was once beat up by a big group of Soc's and now carries a knife with him at all times. Everyone in the gang is very protective of him, especially Dally. . . . Sandy- Sandy is Sodapop's girlfriend and moved to Florida to live with her grandmother. . . . . . Tim Shepard- Tim Shepard and his gang are seen as more of a hood than a gang. They often fight with each other and go out starting fights. Ponyboy see's Tim as a restless and hungry ally cat. Him and Dally are somewhat friends, even though they argue. |
